Why the climate genuinely matters here
This is not a marketing line. A Poodle or doodle carries a dense coat, and large dogs shed heat less efficiently than small ones. In Delhi that coat has to survive six weeks above 42°C; in Chennai it faces heat plus humidity. Bangalore stays mild nearly all year, which changes three practical things:
- You can keep the coat longer. Owners elsewhere clip short through summer out of necessity. Here it is a choice.
- Daily exercise is pleasant year-round rather than squeezed into the hour before sunrise.
- Far less heat-stress risk — the single biggest danger to a large coated dog in India.
The trade-off is a long monsoon from June to October. A big coat holds water, so dry the dog thoroughly after wet walks, check ears weekly, and go a little shorter on the clip through those months.
